The hotel association in Las Palmas has remained silent on the new register of travellers that has been in effect since the first day of October. Ashotel in Tenerife (Cehat) claims that there is widespread confusion regarding what data is required.
Cehat has expressed its concern about the impact of the imminent entry into force of the new regulations on the Register of Travellers, which will come into force in October.
The associations that make up the national hotel sector employers' association Cehat, including Ashotel, are demanding that the regulations be reviewed and adjusted.
They claim that there is widespread confusion regarding what data is required and how to submit it. Hoteliers claim that it is impossible to automate the process and that it would entail additional and disproportionate manual work for establishments and a considerable increase in errors.
