Alejandro Marichal: “The project will generate more than 520 jobs that will boost the local economy and create a modern leisure infrastructure that will strengthen the positioning of our tourist destination”
Davinia Ramírez: “The shopping centre covers more than 60.000 m², represents an investment of 48 million euros and will have a completion period of two and a half years”
The Urban Planning Department of San Bartolomé de Tirajana has granted the major works permit for the construction of a new shopping centre on the site occupied by Viajes Insular, next to Avenida de Gáldar. This project, promoted by Isla del Paraíso 200 SL, has an investment of 48 million euros and a surface area of more than 60.000 m². According to councillor Davinia Ramírez, the work has a completion period of two and a half years, and represents a key step forward for local economic development.
During the construction and launch of the shopping centre, more than 520 direct and indirect jobs will be created, benefiting both the construction sector and other related areas. Alejandro Marichal, First Deputy Mayor, highlights that this project will not only boost the local economy, but will also strengthen Maspalomas as a tourist destination, generating new job opportunities and contributing to the commercial growth of the area.
The design of the shopping centre is based on principles of sustainability and accessibility, and will consist of four floors distributed in commercial, technical and service areas, with an underground car park for 864 vehicles. In addition, it is expected to create 30 direct jobs for the management of the centre and 490 indirect jobs in the supermarket and shops that will be installed on the premises. Marichal emphasises that this project reinforces the municipality's commitment to the modernisation of Playa del Inglés and sustainable development.
