Court of First Instance No. 1 of San Bartolomé de Tirajana, which is opening today, together with Court of Instruction No. 6 of the same municipality in the south of Gran Canaria
The Government of the Canary Islands has put two new courts into operation in San Bartolomé de Tirajana: the Court of First Instance No. 1 and the Court of Instruction No. 6. With these, there are already eight courts that have come into operation in 4. The Minister of the Presidency, Public Administrations, Justice and Security, Nieves Lady Barreto, highlighted the effort made to enable the spaces and provide them with the necessary resources, pointing out the importance of these additions to decongest local courts.

The new courts in San Bartolomé de Tirajana were due to start operating in June 2023, but the lack of suitable space delayed their opening. The Vice-Ministry of Justice managed the necessary works for their conditioning and they have been provided with new officials, distributed among managers, processors and judicial assistants, with the aim of improving citizen attention and the efficiency of the judicial service.
