On the afternoon of this Wednesday, October 2, the presentation ceremony was held, which began by recalling the beginnings of the race with the projection of some images of the first edition in 1973.

During the presentation, Vanesa Martín, mayor of the town of Ingenio, acknowledged the effort and dedication of the sponsoring club, headed by José Miguel Zerpa. "This is thanks to you and your team because you are the driving force, never better said, of this event. The institutions provide a financial part and the human resources that we have, Local Police, Civil Protection, Sports personnel, but the effort is yours," she said.

José Miguel Zerpa, president of the Club Deportivo Motor Primera Escena, detailed the logistical aspects of the day. The entire structure of the test will take place on Saturday 5th, starting with the administrative and technical checks at 7:00 am in Plaza Adolfo Suárez and in the Federico García Lorca Cultural Centre. The convoy will leave for the GC-120 at 10:00 am, to begin the test at 10.30:9.00 am with the first training run after which the cars will go down and back up three times. It should be noted that the entire section will close at XNUMX:XNUMX am.

Zerpa took the opportunity to thank the sponsoring companies and institutions for their support, and also to highlight the efforts of his team. “This year, Motor Primera Escena, luckily after a few years of active work creating a team, we have managed to have the entire climb controlled by stewards and officials within our club, whom I would like to publicly thank for the effort and work they do,” he said.

Alejandro Falcón, acting vice-president of the Las Palmas Federation of Motorsports, congratulated the organisation and all the people and entities that collaborated and called on fans to respect the instructions of the volunteers and the organisation. "Each test we do is like an exam, and knowing the Canarian fans, the roots and love they have for this sport, we all have to pass with flying colours," he said.

Finally, Víctor Navarro, representative of the Insular Institute of Sports, highlighted the historical importance of the La Pasadilla Hill Climb in the world of motorsports, describing it as a benchmark on the island. “21 editions, although in years it is 51, and they have maintained this stretch as a reference show stretch throughout the island in the history of motorsports and the fact that we can enjoy it this weekend is something to be thankful for,” he commented.

With everything ready for this exciting event, the municipality is preparing to experience an intense day of speed and adrenaline, where the passion for motorsport will be the main protagonist.
