Aldi's objective is to "create discount supermarkets special that offers customers quality products at the best possible price", working "decisively on easy purchasing for everyone and everywhere".
The President of the Government of the Canary Islands, Ángel Víctor Torres, has highlighted this investment by Aldi, which is "push and encouragement" for the Canary Islands, and "an example of companies that, faced with a complicated situation, launch themselves to invest", because "they believe that future will be better than the present" and "its success will be that of all the canaries."
The president of the Cabildo of Gran Canaria, Antonio Morales, has celebrated that "they have chosen the island in this moment of uncertainty" because "these important projects and the commitment
for Gran Canaria generates excitement, hope and real jobs".
The mayor of Agüimes, Óscar Hernández, has thanked the incorporation of the chain "to the most important industrial area in the Canary Islands", and has highlighted that these projects for Arinaga, Agüimes and Gran Canaria have "great relevance" for "the creation of employment and generation of economy." He has advanced that the City Council is working on "more innovative and relevant projects" with this company, which has "the doors open" to the municipality.
