The IV Meeting of Dancers organized by the AF Friends of the Cucaña will also be enlivened by the AF Flor Canaria del Atlántico, AF Tajea y Torna and the GF Asentaos y Tumbaos
The Plaza de El Tablero will be the stage this Saturday, October 19, 2024, of the IV Meeting of Dancers of the South, organized by the Cultural Association Friends of La Cucaña, with the collaboration of the Department of the Presidency of the Cabildo de Gran Canaria and the City Council of San Bartolomé de Tirajana.
This IV Meeting of Dancers from the South, which will begin at 20:00 p.m., will feature the participation of the Folkloric Group Friends of the Cucaña (El Tablero), accompanied by the dance group ACB Amigos del Carrizal 7 islas, the AF Tajea y Torna together with the AF Granero y Jarama (Telde), and Flor Canaria del Atlántico (Las Palmas) with its own dance group. As a novelty this year, the event will conclude with the performance of the GF Asentaos y Tumbaos from Aldea Blanca, who will close the night with popular music, inviting the audience to participate in the dance with the groups.
In addition, other dance groups such as AF Guayadeque (Ingenio) and Amor Canario (Santa Lucía) have confirmed their attendance, joining the event.
The repertoire will include more than thirty songs performed by the groups, which will fill the square with traditional Canarian music such as Folías, Polcas, Isas, Seguidillas, Berlinas and Pasodobles, for the enjoyment of the dancers.
With this fourth edition, this event has established itself as a pioneering activity in the municipality of San Bartolomé de Tirajana, positioning itself as one of the most outstanding folkloric events in the south of the island throughout the year.
The event will be presented by Carlos Milán Brito, a renowned communicator who regularly participates in this type of event.
