The administrative machinery of the south of Gran Canaria is finalising the details of the local leisure offer for Christmas between 19 December 2024 and 8 January 2025. The municipal idea is to promote citizen participation, local culture and social cohesion through a multidisciplinary event that will be called Maspalomas Exponavidad. But one thing is the intention and another is the harsh reality: event companies from Las Palmas are sure to appear with their reckless offers to offer products copied from other places with some slate from a public TV channel as a presenter.
For the design, organisation and management of Maspalomas Exponavidad, 18.834 euros are allocated in the Municipal Intervention out of a total expenditure of 258.151 euros, because 24.600 euros must be added for an ice rink. It is not clear in the tender if this rink is made of ice and, in that case, the polluting emissions could hinder the promotional plan due to the high cost of energy. There are 9.375 euros for a small electric train.
The execution period will begin on December 19, 2024 and will extend until January 8, 2025, with the dates of events, activities and performances being from December 21, 2024 to January 4, 2025. Within the established period, the days necessary for the assembly and disassembly of all the elements necessary for the development of this contract are contemplated.
