The Second Phase of the Competition for the Renovation of the Gran Canaria Stadium has been approved
The governing board of the Gran Canaria Island Council's Sports Institute has approved in an extraordinary session the bidders that advance to the second phase of the competition for the drafting and technical management of the project for the expansion and comprehensive reform of the Gran Canaria Stadium. Nine companies or UTEs have exceeded the necessary 50 points, with names such as Compromiso UTE VRB, Estudio Lamela, Idom Consulting, among others, standing out.
The Minister of Sports, Aridany Romero, stressed the complexity of the process and the excellent work carried out by the technicians. “We want a unique, modern stadium that is integrated into the urban planning,” said Romero. The selected offices must present innovative proposals that prioritize sustainability and energy efficiency. They have 45 working days to submit their projects after receiving official notification.
