A fire that broke out early this morning in the garbage compactor area of El Tablero, in San Bartolomé de Tirajana, was quickly controlled thanks to the coordinated intervention of the firefighters and the local police.
A fire broke out early this morning in the garbage compactor area behind the El Tablero Sports Pavilion, in the municipality of San Bartolomé de Tirajana. The fire, which occurred at around 04:00 am, was quickly brought under control by local emergency services.
Two trucks from the San Bartolomé de Tirajana Fire Department arrived at the scene, managing to extinguish the flames in less than two minutes. In addition, members of the Local Police also attended the scene, helping to coordinate the emergency and securing the perimeter to facilitate the work of the firefighters.
The rapid intervention of the emergency services was key to preventing the fire from spreading beyond the area of the garbage compactors. Thanks to the effectiveness of the joint action, the fire did not affect the vehicles parked nearby nor did it cause significant material damage outside the area of origin.
Authorities have not yet provided details on the possible causes of the fire, although a routine investigation is expected to be carried out to clarify the facts. No personal injuries have been reported in the incident.
