The rehabilitation of the Santa Águeda urbanization will start at the beginning of 2025

Lucía Jiménez highlighted that they will last 18 months, with an investment of 1,5 million, improving both the buildings and the quality of life of the residents.

Alejandro Marichal added that in just over a year the council has invested more than 13,8 million in the rehabilitation of the housing stock

 

The San Bartolomé de Tirajana City Council has announced that the rehabilitation works on the Santa Águeda development in El Pajar will begin in the first quarter of 2025 and will last approximately 18 months. The project, with a total cost of 1,48 million euros, will be financed by the City Council, the Housing Consortium, the Ministry of Public Works, the Government of the Canary Islands and the residents.

The planned improvements include the installation of lifts, ramps, renovation of electrical and plumbing installations, waterproofing of roofs and improvements to common areas. In addition, the façades will be updated and fire protection systems will be installed. The development, built in the 70s, houses 66 homes and approximately 250 residents.

 

Lucía Jiménez, Councillor for Housing, stressed that the project not only seeks to solve technical deficiencies, but also to improve the quality of life of residents. Alejandro Marichal stressed that the Council has exceeded its objectives, investing more than 8 million in rehabilitating homes and adding the La Paz Urbanisation to the Urban Environment Rehabilitation Plan.
