CaixaBank has launched a new edition of the 'Hotels & Tourism Canarias Tourism Business Innovation and Modernisation Awards', a call in which, together with the four largest associations in the sector in the Islands, Ashotel, FEHT, Asolan and Asofuer, the financial institution recognises the Canarian tourism companies that have carried out the most relevant actions in the areas of 'Best Repositioning', 'Best Digital Transformation' and 'Best Responsibility Initiative'.
These awards, which are in their ninth edition, are aimed at companies that operate in the hotel or tourist accommodation sector in the Canary Islands and that have made these improvements during the period 2020-2024. Applications can be submitted at any CaixaBank branch and its network of Business Centres in the Canary Islands until 1 December 2024. The winners of the different categories will be announced on the opening day of the International Tourism Fair (Fitur), which will be held in Madrid on 22 January 2025.
In 2024, the Hiperdino Parque Cristóbal establishments were awarded, and Villas and Lopesan Costa Meloneras Resort in the south of Gran Canaria were the winners of the 'CaixaBank Awards for Innovation and Modernisation of Tourism Companies Hotels & Tourism Canarias' in its latest edition. Likewise, CaixaBank awarded Alicia Martinón, CEO of the Grumasa Group, the 'Entrepreneurs with Stars Award' from CaixaBank Hotels & Tourism for the company's track record and its firm commitment to innovation and technology in each of its projects over the years.
