The supermarket chain SPAR Gran Canaria and Uber Eats have renewed their strategic agreement, reinforcing their commitment to online sales with immediate delivery to meet the current needs of customers. The renewal of this alliance has been cemented thanks to the excellent results obtained after several months of testing the service in some locations in Gran Canaria.
Through Uber Eats, the SPAR Gran Canaria group will continue to strengthen its proximity to Gran Canaria consumers, facilitating access to quality local fresh produce and packaged products through a purchasing channel with a very wide range and immediate delivery, thus offering a quality service within reach of all users. In Gran Canaria, Uber Eats has extensive coverage of its online shopping service in SPAR supermarkets in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Arucas, Telde, Arinaga, Vecindario, Maspalomas, Arguineguín and Puerto Rico.
Using the Uber Eats mobile app, customers can place their order choosing from over 10.000 items including fresh produce, fruit, vegetables, bread, cold cuts, eggs, cheese, meat, drinks, pastries, groceries, frozen foods, hygiene, drugstore and perfumery items, among others, at the same price as in-store.
SPAR Gran Canaria CEO Dunia Pérez highlighted after signing the agreement that “this alliance reinforces our omnichannel strategy, reaching more consumers on our island through Uber Eats.”
