A 35-year-old man has been moderately injured after being run over on Avenida de la Unión Europea, in the municipality of San Bartolomé de Tirajana. The incident occurred at around 13:50 p.m. on October 30, when the Emergency and Security Coordination Centre (CECOES) 1-1-2 received an alert reporting the accident.
The Canary Islands Emergency Service (SUC) activated a medicalized ambulance that went to the scene, where the paramedics stabilized the injured man. The initial assessment by the SUC determined that the man had moderate trauma and, after receiving assistance, he was transferred to the Insular University Hospital of Gran Canaria.
In addition to the SUC, the Local Police intervened in traffic regulation and was responsible for instructing the corresponding proceedings to clarify the circumstances of the accident.
