An accident in Ingenio left four injured after a vehicle crashed and overturned. The victims were treated and taken to hospitals
On November 3, 2024, at 21:56 p.m., a traffic accident occurred on Avenida de Carlos V, Carrizal, in the municipality of Ingenio, Gran Canaria. Two vehicles collided, resulting in one of them overturning and leaving one occupant trapped inside.
The Canary Islands Government's Emergency and Security Coordination Centre (CECOES) 1-1-2 received the alert and immediately activated the necessary emergency resources. Firefighters from the Gran Canaria Emergency Consortium freed the trapped occupant, secured and removed the vehicle, and carried out clean-up work on the road.
The Canary Islands Emergency Service (SUC) treated the injured at the scene of the accident. One of the injured, a man with moderate multiple contusions, was taken by ambulance to the Dr. Negrín University Hospital of Gran Canaria. Another of the injured, who had moderate neck pain, was taken to the Insular University Hospital of Gran Canaria. Two more men, with mild neck pain, were also taken to the San Roque University Hospital.
The local police were in charge of preparing the corresponding report to clarify the circumstances of the accident.
