The municipal government is proud to announce that the contingent of Canarian firefighters, including the team from our municipality, is already in Valencia and ready to provide support in emergency tasks. The three firefighters from San Bartolomé de Tirajana have not wasted a second since their arrival, and have quickly begun to work in one of the affected areas. Their first mission has been to pump out the water in the garage of a residential building, a task that they have undertaken with dedication to ensure the restoration of normality in the area. In addition, before beginning their work in the field, the team went to the Mobile Resource Centre (CRM) in Valencia, where they received the necessary material and specific training to ensure an effective and coordinated intervention in the assigned areas.

The Canary Islands team has moved to the first floor of a 37.000 square metre shopping centre, where they have worked on cleaning and draining the facilities, also allowing the power supply to be restored. Thanks to their quick action, the food bank has been able to start its operations in this space, facilitating the storage of basic necessities.
