Gran Canaria will start the weekend with clear skies and the presence of haze that will reduce visibility, creating a dry and dusty environment. Temperatures will reach a maximum of 27°C and a minimum of 22°C. Winds will blow from the southeast with moderate gusts between 20 and 30 km/h, intensifying the sensation of heat.
On Saturday, haze and high temperatures will continue, with clear skies that will allow the sun to increase the thermal sensation in exposed areas. Maximum temperatures are expected to reach 28°C and minimum temperatures will be 23°C. The southeast wind will continue with stronger gusts, reaching up to 39 km/h in some areas of the south.
The haze will persist on Sunday, especially affecting the midland areas and keeping the sky clear and visibility reduced. Temperatures will range between a maximum of 27°C and a minimum of 20°C. South-easterly winds will continue to be present, although with less intensity, with gusts of between 14 and 25 km/h.
Next Monday, the haze conditions will begin to dissipate slightly towards the end of the day, but the weather will remain dry and with clear skies. Temperatures will be around 26°C maximum and 20°C minimum. The southeast wind will continue with gusts of up to 24 km/h, keeping the air warm in the region.
The population of southern Gran Canaria is advised to take precautions against these weather conditions, especially those with respiratory problems. It is advisable to avoid exposure to the outdoors during the central hours of the day, stay well hydrated and follow the instructions of local authorities.
