A 26-year-old motorcyclist has lost his life this morning after leaving the road and colliding with a palm tree on Avenida de Las Tirajanas, Vecindario, in the municipality of Santa Lucía. The accident occurred at 01:14 hours, according to information provided by the Emergency and Security Coordination Centre (CECOES) 112 of the Government of the Canary Islands.
After receiving the alert, CECOES 112 activated the necessary resources to deal with the emergency, including a medical ambulance from the Canary Islands Emergency Service (SUC) and a medical team from the El Doctoral Health Centre, made up of a doctor and a nurse. Upon arriving at the scene, the paramedics confirmed the death of the motorcyclist due to the serious injuries suffered, which were incompatible with life.
The operation also involved officers from the Local Police and the Civil Guard, who were responsible for managing traffic in the area and carrying out the relevant procedures to clarify the circumstances of the accident.
