A man was injured this morning when his vehicle overturned on the GC-1 motorway, near Juan Grande, heading north. The incident occurred at 07:15 hours, according to information provided by the Emergency and Security Coordination Centre (CECOES) 112 of the Government of the Canary Islands.
The victim had moderate chest trauma and was treated on site by the Canary Islands Emergency Service (SUC). He was then transferred in a basic life support ambulance to the El Doctoral health centre to receive medical attention.
After receiving the alert, the CECOES 112 activated the necessary emergency resources, including the Gran Canaria Emergency Consortium, the SUC, the Civil Guard and the road maintenance service. When the emergency teams arrived, the driver was already out of the vehicle, so the firefighters were responsible for securing the crashed car. The Civil Guard regulated traffic on the road and made the corresponding report.
