The program 'Tenderete' from Spanish Television in the Canary Islands recorded a special in the Candelaria Square in Ingenio On November 8th, with the Folklore Choirs and Dances Group of Ingenio as the protagonist. This tribute is part of the celebration of the 75th anniversary of the group, recognized for its outstanding work in the conservation of the musical heritage of the Canary Islands.

The group, directed by David Castellano, has a repertoire that includes traditional pieces such as the 'Polka del Capotín', the 'Isa de la Paría' and the 'Canario', accompanied by their children's group. In addition, the Parranda Tendereteros de Juanse participates, together with the soloists Jesús Monzón, Laura Santana, Luzmila Valerón and José Alberto Hernández. The event is sponsored by the Department of Culture of the City Council of Ingenio, recognizing the contribution of 'Tenderete' to the legacy of the folklorist Nanino Díaz Cutillas.
Coros y Danzas de Ingenio, awarded this year with the Gold Medal of the Canary Islands and the Medal of the ULPGC, continues to be a benchmark in the recovery and dissemination of the island's musical tradition. This special edition of 'Tenderete' highlights not only its 75-year history, but also its essential role in keeping the musical memory of Gran Canaria alive.
