The parish priest Francisco González inaugurated yesterday, November 15, the festivities of San Juan Evangelista with his sermon, an act that brought together neighbors and visitors in an emotional start to the celebrations
From November 15 to 24, Cruce de Sardina will celebrate the festivities in honour of San Juan Evangelista. The parish priest of San Fernando de Maspalomas read the proclamation of the festivities yesterday, November 15, thanking the opportunity to share this moment with everyone. After the proclamation, the Parranda Achimencey and Sombra del Aguayro performed. Yeray Socorro provided music for the first verbena of the festivities.
The programme of events includes concerts, street parties, a fashion show with Canarian costumes and an exhibition of vintage cars, among other activities that fill the celebration with life and tradition.
On Saturday 16th at 20.30pm there will be a fashion show, at 23pm there will be a street party with Paco Guedes and at 1am Yeray Socorro will perform. On Sunday at 18.30pm there will be a dance show and at 20.30pm there will be the Grand Gala of Songs presented by Mari Carmen Reyes.
On Monday 18th at 18.30 there will be a street party with Yeray and Lolino and at 19 hours there will be a snack for the elderly. On Tuesday 19th at 19.30 there will be a fashion show for the elderly, with Canarian costumes, prom dresses and evening dresses. Afterwards there will be a stopover at the hifi with the elderly of the neighbourhood. On Wednesday at 18.30 there will be a street party with Yeray and Lolino and at 19 hours a snack for the elderly.
On Thursday at 19pm there will be a dance exhibition, then 'Salsa and merengue' and at 21pm 'Noche de parrandas' with Achimencey, Merita la pena and El Cilantro. On Friday 22nd at 20pm there will be a street party with Yeray and Lolino, at 22pm Pepe Benavente will perform and then Los Salvapantallas and DJ Partymax will be there.
On Saturday at 18pm there will be a pilgrimage through the town. At 23.30pm there will be a street party with Paco Guedes, DJ PartyMax and Aseres. On Sunday at 9.30am in the Plaza del Cruce de Sardina there will be an exhibition of vintage cars. At 20.30pm there will be a concert by San Antonio Norteño, and an exhibition of used cars.
