The Copa del Rey Gran Canaria 2025 has presented its official ball, a special model from the Wilson EVO NXT series full of new features: it is a tribute to Maspalomas. The black and white colours that dominated the Copa ball in recent years are now joined by a touch of gold from the sand in the south of Gran Canaria and a different structure, with two white central stripes and two black upper and lower stripes. The result is a more attractive, elegant... and unique ball. The design includes the name of the competition and the 2025 edition to make it an unrepeatable model.
The dunes and lighthouse of Maspalomas have witnessed the first contact of the official ball with Gran Canaria, less than 100 days before the start of the competition on February 13, 2025. Built with Wilson EVO NXT technology, the same one used in the 2024-25 Endesa League, this ball is designed to offer precision and control. The “super soft core” cover provides extra padding that allows players' fingers to sink deeper into the surface of the ball for better control and a softer feel. In addition, the “micro-touch” cover, which repels sweat, guarantees a constant grip to maintain control throughout the match.
The official ball for the Copa del Rey Gran Canaria 2025 is the result of a strategic agreement between the ACB and Wilson for the American multinational to become the official supplier of the ACB competitions in the coming seasons and the official ball for the Liga Endesa, the Copa del Rey, the Supercopa Endesa and the Minicopa Endesa. The Wilson EVO NXT model for the Copa del Rey is now on sale on Wilson's official website, via the following link. In addition, Wilson is the official clothing brand for the ACB, with a relationship that goes far beyond the supply of official match balls for the competitions.
