500 people will run for children with cancer
Next Sunday November 24 Color, sport and fun are back with the help of Rainbow Family Gran Canaria 2024, the solidarity color race where up to 500 participants will run for a very good cause, raising funds to support the Canary Islands Foundation Little Brave and their fight against childhood cancer. On this occasion, the solidarity of the runners has meant that registrations are sold out several days before the race, which will begin at 11:00 a.m.
The most characteristic of this charity event is that the runners will participate surrounded by the seven colours of the rainbow with Holi powders in a race in which neither distance nor time are the most important. There will be a category for children up to 9 years old and their companions, the category Kids 500 meters as a family and another type of race or walk, the Rainbow Family Fun Run 2 kilometers. This is a non-competitive, non-timed event, designed to be enjoyed by the whole family.
The appointment is in the Stagno Square in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, next to the Pérez Galdós Theatre, with a full programme of activities starting at 9:30 a.m. with workshops, an exhibition, children's inflatables and a catering offer. At 11:00 there will be a race for boys and girls and at 11:30 there will be a 2-kilometre race with start and finish in Piazza Stagno.
After the race, which will be accompanied by music at all times, the fun continues with the Rainbow Fest Family, music and DJ, creative workshops, inflatables, exhibition area and catering. Without a doubt, a day for fun and sport with the family, health, music, colour and above all solidarity.
