"Feline Colonies. Responsible Management, Population Control and Social Coexistence" Conference
The Illustrious City Council of the Villa de San Bartolomé de Tirajana, from the Department of Health headed by Doña Araceli Armas, organizes the "DayCat Colonies. Responsible Management, Population Control and Social Coexistence” , which will take place next November 30 at the Carmelo Pérez Rodríguez Cultural Center in El Tablero, from 9:30 a.m. to 13:00 p.m.
Cat colonies are a very present phenomenon in the municipality and require adequate management for both animal protection and welfare, as well as for regulatory compliance and to ensure good social and community coexistence, which is why the celebration of this first day represents an important informational meeting point.
The event will be attended by experts on the subject who will address key aspects such as the responsible management of feline colonies, animal welfare, the current regulatory framework, the role of those responsible for feline colonies as necessary collaborators of the City Councils, a manual of good practices in the management of the colonies (feeding, cleaning the environment, etc.), the application of the CER method for population control and problems of social coexistence, among others.
The call, whose participation is free, is open to all citizens, especially those responsible for feline colonies, communities of owners, animal lovers and other actors involved in animal welfare.
