The Mogán Local Governing Board has approved the terms and conditions for grants to Parent-Teacher Associations (PTAs) in the municipality for the 2021/2022 academic year. The City Council is allocating €30.000 to these grants, which will be awarded to PTAs that choose to apply. The application period is open until December 14th.
This subsidy aims to cover the costs of carrying out extracurricular and/or complementary activities, such as socio-educational workshops, summer, Christmas and Easter campuses and Early and afternoon Collection services. Likewise, those aimed at educational reinforcement and the maintenance and operating expenses of the respective associations.
For the Councilor for Education, Tania Alonso, it is important to continue supporting Parent-Teacher Associations (PTAs) because their activities, which complement those of schools, contribute to the social and academic success of children, as well as providing support for parents. “The City Council remains firmly committed to its goal of continuing to improve the quality of education in the municipality and reducing the rate of children at risk of exclusion, specifically regarding their access to education and extracurricular support classes,” she points out.
The IES Arguineguín, CEO Mogán, CEIP Playa de Arguineguín, CEIP Artemi Semidán, CEO Motor Grande, CEIP Playa de Mogán and the CEIP Casas de Veneguera are the seven centers that have established their AMPAs and therefore those that will be able to benefit from these subsidies.
