Davinia Ramírez: “The project has an investment of more than 50 million euros and will be developed on a 24.300 m2 plot”
Alejandro Marichal: “In a year and a half, the number of licenses granted has tripled, which provides legal security to developers, promotes economic activity and job creation in the construction sector”
The Urban Planning Department of San Bartolomé de Tirajana continues to advance in its commitment to urban development and the creation of housing for citizens. The Local Government Board has approved, at the proposal of the Urban Planning Department headed by Councillor Davinia Ramírez, the granting of a license for the construction of “96 single-family homes in the El Hornillo 3A Urbanisation, a project that will have an investment of more than 50 million euros”.
As the councillor points out, “the residential complex will be located on a 24.385 m² plot and will include two and three-bedroom homes, with typologies that adapt to different family needs”. The project by Aedas Homes Canarias, SLU also includes community facilities such as a swimming pool for adults and children, a play area, coworking space, playroom, gym and spa. Each home will have a storage room and access to 158 underground parking spaces.
Alejandro Marichal, Councillor for Urban Planning, highlighted the pace at which the Department of Urban Planning is working on this type of procedure “in a year and a half the number of licences granted has tripled, which not only offers legal security to developers but also promotes economic activity and job creation in the construction sector”. The commitment to increasing the housing supply in this legislature, added Marichal, is being worked on through the coordination and work of the areas of Urban Planning and Housing, “the first, through the release of land that allows construction; the second, through the plans for the rehabilitation of the public housing stock and the municipal investment of 35 million for the construction of new ones through Visocan”.
For her part, Davinia Ramírez, Councillor for Urban Planning, highlighted the social impact of the project, stating that with it “we are not only expanding the housing offer in the municipality, but it is also being carried out by integrating common spaces designed to strengthen coexistence.” The works must begin within a maximum period of four years from the notification of the licence, in accordance with the applicable legislation.
