The Department of Cleaning and Waste, in collaboration with the Parks and Gardens department of the San Bartolomé de Tirajana Town Hall, has installed a new Waste Contribution Point in Hoya Grande, to meet one of the most frequent demands of the residents of the Medianías and Cumbre areas of the municipality.
This new space aims to facilitate the deposit of household waste, reducing trips to the only Clean Point in the municipality, located in the lower part of El Tablero. The facility is specifically designed to receive domestic pruning, household goods and debris. Unlike a Clean Point, appliances and hazardous substances cannot be deposited here. The Contribution Point will be open from Monday to Saturday, from 8:00 a.m. to 18:00 p.m. To ensure its correct operation and safety, the facility will be monitored by cameras with a fiber optic connection that allow real-time monitoring. In addition, easy vehicle access has been enabled, facilitating the deposit of waste.
The City Council is calling on citizens to collaborate by respecting the types of waste authorised, thus contributing to maintaining the order and efficiency of this service. With this new infrastructure, the municipality is taking another step towards improving the integrated management of waste.
