At the moment, new decarbonisation solutions, from carbon capture, utilisation and storage applications in clinker production, to innovative materials, waste utilisation and other solutions with the properties of cement or the use of new types of additives, are not sufficient to meet the emissions-neutral mandate because these solutions, although promising, are immature innovations and require further development to be scalable and strong investments with public support.
Masaveu Corporation, with its North American company Mavi LLC, has its investments in the hotel sector in California, as well as being the owner of three hotels in the cities of Sacramento and San Diego, with 105 and 40 rooms each and operated, respectively, by the Best Western and Vagabond Inn chains. In that area it is developing another hotel with the AC Hotels chain. Masaveu Corporation has a building located at 500 North Capitol Street in Washington DC, as well as the purchases of the BBVA Compass buildings in Houston and Le Courvoisier in Miami made in recent years. In California, it participated in a 3-story, 98-room hotel project to be developed at the western end of America's Cup Harbor, across from the North Island Naval Air Station (Halsey Field). Currently, Vista operates a 40-room Vagabond Inn hotel with approximately 15.000 square feet on the property. However, the official website of the group that owns the insurance company Línea Directa does not mention the hotel business in the US, but it does mention the business in Bulgaria with Iberostar.
