The San Bartolomé de Tirajana Agricultural Market returns with the best of fresh and local products

 

The Department of Market, Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries of the San Bartolomé de Tirajana City Council, headed by the eighth deputy mayor Araceli Armas Cruz, has launched a promotional campaign to encourage the local population to consume local products from the Municipal Agricultural Market, especially during these Christmas dates.

 

 

 

The Maspalomas Farmers' Market had been held for the past few years in the parking lot of the Day Care Center, outdoors and without any protection from the sun, wind, and inclement weather. Since July 21st, it has been held in the covered courtyard of the Marcial Franco School, next to the Maspalomas Municipal Stadium . The Markets Department carried out the relocation in agreement with the vendors and agricultural and livestock producers to improve and optimize their business, providing greater comfort and a much more attractive environment and aesthetic setting.

 

This change has been greatly appreciated and highly valued by both the vendors and the residents of the municipality, who find the covered area of ​​the school playground much more pleasant and relaxing for their shopping. In addition to encouraging the consumption of local products, the promotional campaign launched by the Department of Markets aims to support the primary sector by promoting the activity of the Market as a reference space for the exhibition and sale of agricultural and livestock producers in this municipality.

 

 

 

22 stalls with fresh products

 

At the moment, the Agricultural Market has 22 stalls that directly offer fresh, quality products at very competitive prices, such as flowers, plants, cheeses, honey, breads, pastries, jams, eggs, olives, olive oils, and all kinds of seasonal vegetables and fruits, among others. The event is held every two weeks, and always on Sunday, from 8:00 a.m. to 13:30 p.m. The next events will be on December 8 and 22.
