No major changes in temperatures in the south of Gran Canaria for the next few days

MASPALOMAS24H Sunday, December 08, 2024

The south, southeast and southwest of Gran Canaria will continue to experience stable weather conditions during the next week, according to the State Meteorological Agency (AEMET). Mild temperatures, moderate winds and the absence of haze will mark the days in these areas of the island.

The forecast for the next few days in the south of Gran Canaria indicates temperatures that will range between 21 °C and 25 °C in the central hours of the day, while minimum temperatures will be between 12 °C and 18 °C. According to the data provided by AEMET Canarias, the skies will be mostly clear, with occasional cloudy intervals in the early hours of the morning. These conditions are usual at this time of year, offering a pleasant climate for both residents and tourists.

As for the wind, the trade winds will predominate from the northeast, with intensities of 20 to 30 km/h and gusts that could reach 40 km/h in the most exposed areas, especially in coastal and mid-mountain areas. For lovers of nautical activities, the state of the sea is favorable, with a northwesterly swell and waves that will range between 1 and 2 meters high. Despite the general stability, caution is recommended in open areas due to gusts of wind.

Calima, a common phenomenon in the archipelago, is not expected to significantly affect Gran Canaria during this week. However, AEMET advises to be alert to possible changes in atmospheric conditions, especially towards the weekend.
