A 37-year-old man lost his life this morning after leaving the road and crashing into a wall on the GC-550 highway. The accident mobilized various emergency services, which confirmed his death on the spot.
On the morning of December 8, 2024, at 11:20 a.m., the Emergency and Security Coordination Center (CECOES) 112 of the Government of the Canary Islands received an alert reporting an accident in the municipality of Santa Lucía de Tirajana. According to the call, a motorcyclist needed urgent attention after leaving the road and colliding with a wall.
The Canary Islands Emergency Service (SUC) activated a medicalized ambulance and another one for basic life support, while personnel from the Agüimes health center, accompanied by the Local Police, went to the scene. Despite the efforts of the medical team, the SUC staff could only confirm the death of the man, identified as a 37-year-old male.

The Civil Guard was responsible for preparing the corresponding report to investigate the circumstances of the accident.
The incident mobilised a large response from the emergency services, including the Canary Islands Emergency Service (SUC), which deployed two ambulances, and the Primary Care staff from the Agüimes health centre. The Civil Guard and the Local Police also participated in the coordination and care work at the scene.
