Elena Sarmiento and Martín Suárez conquer the queen distance of the Anfi Mogán Open Water

The Anfi Mogán Open Water 2024 saw a memorable day in its queen distance of 9.200 metres, where Elena Sarmiento and Martín Suárez took the victory. Elena completed the course in 2:42:38, demonstrating her capacity for sacrifice and constant training, also finishing second in the general classification. On the women's podium she was accompanied by María Hijar (3:22:19) and Juana Núñez (4:00:15), who overcame challenging conditions. For his part, Martín Suárez led the men's category with a time of 2:40:22, followed by Alejandro Pérez (2:53:42) and Eduardo García (2:54:41).

 

In the 5.300-meter distance, Celine Schaerer (1:24:54) and Arnaudis Domínguez (1:15:47) took the win, standing out in a thrilling race. In the women's category, Laura Colombo (1:36:10) and Natalia Suárez (1:38:05) completed the podium. In the men's category, second place went to Javier López (1:17:41), followed by Sandro Tortelli (1:17:44), in an exciting finish with minimal differences.

 

Finally, the 2.000 metres ended with the victory of Sofía Fernández (37:22) and David Romera (30:26), the latter starring in a tight final alongside Miguel Ángel Rodríguez (30:26) and Kiran Montesdeoca (30:32). With more than 141 registered in this race, the event consolidated its place as an essential event for open water lovers. Promoted by the Mogán Town Hall and sponsored by the Anfi group, the organization was in charge of Top Time Eventos, integrating it into the National Open Water Series Circuit.
