The price for each day (by hour) in the south of Gran Canaria is available one day in advance, from 19.15 hours, on the website of Red Eléctrica de España (REE). Since 2024, a new structure for calculating the Voluntary Price for Small Consumers (PVPC) has been applied, which affects the billing of the regulated tariff energy term. In accordance with the provisions of Royal Decree 216/2014, of March 28, which establishes the methodology for calculating voluntary prices for small consumers of electric energy and their legal contracting regime, Red Eléctrica publishes hourly prices for the following day every day.
The PVPC, in the 2.0 TD rate in force since June 1, 2021, replaces the three that existed until May 31, 2021 with a single one, which has a time discrimination in three periods in which the application of tolls and regulatory charges will vary: the peak period, in which said tolls and regulated charges will be higher; the flat period, with an intermediate impact of these regulated costs and the valley period, a period in which these tolls and charges will be lower. Canary Islands: From Monday to Friday, weekends and national holidays have a valley period from 00:00 to 8:00 hours; the flat period from 8.00:10.00 to 14.00:18.00 hours, from 22.00:24.00 to 10.00:14.00 hours and from 18.00:22.00 to XNUMX:XNUMX hours.
