An investment of almost 300.000 euros in state-of-the-art vehicles to reinforce the security and efficiency of the Local Police

San Bartolomé de Tirajana continues to demonstrate its commitment to the safety and well-being of its citizens. At an event held today, the new vehicles for the Local Police were presented, with an investment of almost 300.000 euros, within the framework of a global strategy that this year has allocated almost 2 million euros in resources for Security and Emergencies.

The Councillor for Security and Emergencies, José Carlos Álamo Ojeda, highlighted during the presentation: “In this year 2024, almost 2 million euros have been invested in resources for Security and Emergencies, reflecting our firm commitment to the security and well-being of our municipality. These new vehicles represent an investment of almost 300.000 euros, and not only do they have the latest technology in mobility and sustainability, but they are also equipped with specific tools to effectively address the multiple operational needs of our Local Police. From advanced communication systems to rescue and protection equipment, every detail has been carefully planned to improve response capacity and service.”

For his part, the Chief Commissioner of the Local Police, Isidro Armas Díaz, praised the new equipment and its features: “The two intervention vehicles will carry out their work in matters of public safety, especially in the control of large events and night inspections, highlighting their capacity to transport six officers. Meanwhile, the new accident report van has two cameras, one with a real-time license plate reader and another 360-degree camera, which can be controlled from any device by an authorized police officer.”

The presentation concluded with the words of the Mayor-President, Marco Aurelio Pérez Sánchez, who said: “This is a reflection of the determined effort of this municipality for security, with the desire that these new vehicles help and improve the important police task.”
