The administrative entity completes the first works on the beaches of Meloneras and El Cochino
The access improvement project has an investment of 980.000 euros
The Maspalomas Gran Canaria Consortium, an institution owned by the Cabildo de Gran Canaria and the San Bartolomé de Tirajana Town Council, has announced the opening of the first three access roads within the framework of the project to improve the main beaches of Maspalomas Costa Canaria.
The first actions have been carried out on the beaches of Meloneras - two access points located opposite restaurant areas - and El Cochino - the only access point located on that coast. With an investment of 980.000 euros, these actions will renew a total of 27 accessibility points, including the three already inaugurated and another 22 that are in the process.
In order to ensure that tourists, residents and users can enjoy the most outstanding tourist sites in the south of Gran Canaria, the works have focused on improving services such as access ramps, showers, footbaths, designed to facilitate access for people with reduced mobility and improve the safety and comfort of users.
These actions have been framed within the Modernization Plan promoted by the Consortium, whose mission has been to raise the quality and accessibility of the tourist spaces in the area, consolidating Maspalomas Costa Canaria as an international reference destination.

upcoming openings
The administrative entity of the Maspalomas Gran Canaria Consortium will open three new access points in the coming weeks - three in each of the tourist areas - to the beaches of Las Burras, San Agustín and Playa del Inglés.
It is worth noting that the municipal warehouses of the San Bartolomé de Tirajana Town Hall have received the articulated platforms, platforms designed to be placed on dry sand. In total, 220 linear metres of these structures have been supplied, which will improve accessibility and comfort on the municipality's beaches.
