Yilenia Vega: “We are thrilled by the massive response we have had in this second edition, proving that there is no better place to say goodbye to the year than on the beach, enjoying the best climate in Europe”
Under the radiant sun and the unmistakable climate of Maspalomas Costa Canaria, nearly 1.000 people came to Annex II of Playa del Inglés throughout the day to bid farewell to the year with the second Maspalomas Children's Bell Ringing "KidsMas". Entire families, from all municipalities, enjoyed an unforgettable day full of music, fun and magic in an environment designed especially for the little ones.

From early in the morning, parents, grandparents and children filled the space with smiles and a desire to celebrate alongside the Disney Princesses and Super Heroes who were present throughout the day. The beach was filled with colour and laughter as attendees took part in a wide variety of activities that combined creativity, sustainability and entertainment for all ages. The Councillor for Tourism, Celebrations and Events, Yilenia Vega, highlighted: “We are thrilled by the massive response we have had in this second edition. KidsMas is consolidating itself as an essential event for our families and also as a unique way to promote our tourist destination, showing that there is no better place to say goodbye to the year than on the beach, enjoying the best climate in Europe.”
The programme was full of magical moments that left their mark. The little ones had a blast with workshops on face painting, sustainable juggling, and decorating reusable bags. The children also learned amazing tricks in the magic workshop and experienced the adrenaline of competing on a scalextric circuit. Meanwhile, an area of bouncy castles and traditional games brought entire families together around the most authentic fun.
One of the most exciting moments of the day was the special animation show before the bells, which prepared the attendees for an exciting countdown show led by speaker Jaime García. When the bells finished ringing, both children and adults celebrated the new year in a more beachy and family-friendly style, to the rhythm of DJ Iriome.
Music also played a leading role with performances that enlivened the day. The show Magical Moments and the vibrant concert of Kids Rock History They kept young and old alike on their feet, singing and dancing to the hits that spanned generations.
Yilenia Vega added: “This event not only reinforces our commitment to local families, but is a unique proposal that highlights our exceptional climate and hospitality. KidsMas is the best way to celebrate life and the beginning of a new year.”
The second edition of KidsMas ended successfully, leaving an unforgettable image of united families and sunshine that, as every year, makes Maspalomas an unrivalled destination to enjoy the Christmas holidays. Without a doubt, the magic of KidsMas will continue to grow in future editions.
