The CaixaBank Hotels & Tourism Awards will recognise Seaside Collection in 2025 for its work in promoting vocational training, "providing learning spaces and providing development opportunities for young people in the Canary Islands," said the financial institution. This recognition highlights the company's collaboration with vocational training centres to prepare future professionals in the tourism sector.
Manuel Afonso, CaixaBank's regional director in the Canary Islands, stressed that these awards aim to "recognise those who invest in ensuring a promising future for the tourism sector, offering their experience and resources to train new generations. This effort ensures the quality and competitiveness of the sector in the long term."
The general manager of Seaside Collection, González Haba, has expressed that "investing in emerging talent strengthens not only the tourism sector, but also the local community." The recognition has been promoted by CaixaBank Dualiza, which promotes Vocational Training in Spain, acting as a bridge between companies and educational entities. This work allows students to acquire specialized training that facilitates their immediate incorporation into the labor market, in accordance with the new Vocational Training Law.
On 22 January 2025, all the winners will meet at the CaixaBank stand at the International Tourism Fair (FITUR) in Madrid, where a commemorative event will be held. CaixaBank Hotels & Tourism, with a loan portfolio to the tourism sector totalling 8.100 billion euros and a customer base of 12.500, has established itself as a benchmark in this field. The bank offers personalised products and services, adapting to the specific needs of hotels, tourist accommodation and campsites. In addition, it shows special interest in sustainable projects, supporting initiatives that improve energy efficiency, accessibility, water and waste management, and the labour inclusion of vulnerable groups.
