2024 is coming to an end to make way for a new year and, as usual, the municipalities have a multitude of events to welcome the new year in the best way. We tell you about all the plans that the municipalities of San Bartolomé de Tirajana, Santa Lucía de Tirajana, Agüimes and Ingenio will offer for this December 31.
San Bartolomé
The New Year celebrations will take place in different parts of the municipality: Plaza del Parque de San Fernando, Castillo del Romeral, Tunte and Fataga. From 00:15 on January 1, anyone who decides to start the year in San will be able to enjoy live music, DJs, orchestras and a host of surprises.
New Year's Eve at the Yumbo
The New Year's Eve Gala in the Plaza del Yumbo will be an unforgettable party that will start at 21:00 p.m. The Canarian artists, Rubén Dizá and Jia Miles, will present the event in 3 languages and, as is traditional, before midnight, they will invite the public to countdown with virtual chimes and celebrate the arrival of 12, in a festive and free atmosphere, until 2025 in the morning.
Global buses are the best option to arrive on Wednesday, December 31, to Yumbo and return on the lines that will offer service on January 1. The schedules can be consulted at: www.guaguasglobal.com
Santa Lucia de Tirajana
In the neighbouring town, the celebrations will begin at 10:00 a.m. with a “pre-grapes” and family workshops that will begin at 11:00 a.m. Right at noon, at 12:00 p.m., there will be a parade announcing the event and the “Campanadas al Sol” will be celebrated in the Plaza de los Algodoneros.
For the older ones, the traditional La Karpa party will be back, starting at 00:30 and featuring performances by DJ Evo López, DJ Fran Grimón and Línea DJ´s. However, only the fastest will be able to enjoy this option, as tickets for the event sold out within a few hours of going on sale last week.
Agüimes
From 10:00 a.m., on the Avenida de los Pescadores in Arinaga, there will be workshops and attractions for children with a visit from the royal page and also the shows “En-canto” and “Un circo para todos”.
At 22:00 p.m. the New Year's Eve dance for seniors will be held at the Cruce de Arinaga Senior Citizens Centre with performances by the musical group Yoni and Aya.
The New Year's Eve party will begin at 23:00 p.m. in Plaza del Rosario with a performance by Aseres and DJ Antonio Boada.
Ingenio
On the morning of December 31, from 11:00 a.m. to 14:00 p.m., the New Year's Eve Family Party will be held in the Plaza de la Candelaria. The event will include several inflatables, craft workshops and a parade from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
The Alexia Rodríguez Academy of Artistic Education, a music band, batucada and clowns will participate in the parade. The little ones will also enjoy the show “All You Need Is Clown” by Clown Totó.
The traditional New Year's Eve party will once again have two zones, one in the Plaza de la Candelaria and another in front of the Town Hall. In Zone 2, located under the La Candelaria tent, DJ Sammyto, DJ Toni Bob and DJ Abián Reyes will perform.
In Zone 2, in front of Ingenio Town Hall, DJ Paco Sánchez, Paco Guedes and DJ Ulises Acosta will perform.
