The new video of the Gran Canaria Walking Festival revives the emblematic landscapes that marked the thirteenth edition of this event

 

The association Gran Canaria Natural & Active, organizer of Gran Canaria Walking Festival, has released the promotional video for the 24th edition of this international hiking festival that took place from October 27 to 2024, 500 and reached almost 15 registrations with hikers from more than XNUMX countries. Along four routes, participants were able to explore the amazing landscapes of Villa de Moya, Valsequillo de Gran Canaria, La Aldea de San Nicolás and Tejeda, discovering the beauty and contrasts of the island at every step.

 

The 2024 promotional video is presented as an opportunity to relive the moments and sensations that characterized these events. In this audiovisual journey, you can perceive the connection with the extraordinary nature of Gran Canaria that hikers create during the event and the ties with its culture and heritage. For all these reasons, this annual hiking event allows you to delve, in a different way and in first person, into some of the trails that cross the various municipalities of Gran Canaria and its varied landscapes.

 

More specifically, some of the enclaves they visited on the first day were the protected natural area Parque Rural de Doramas, the town of Fontanales in the Villa de Moya and the Naturacanaria Country House. On the subsequent routes, the natural heritage of Valsequillo followed with the Protected Landscape of the Cumbres, the Special Natural Reserve of the Marteles and the Recreational Area of ​​El Troncón, the magical coast of the Aldea de San Nicolás accompanied by the Cola de Dragón, and ending with the town of Tejeda, its caldera up to the pine forest of the Llanos de la Pez and Llanos de Garañón.

 

El Gran Canaria Walking Festival The event is officially sponsored by the Cabildo de Gran Canaria through Turismo de Gran Canaria. In this edition, the event has had the valuable collaboration of the Valsequillo de Gran Canaria Town Hall, the Tejeda Town Hall and the Moya Town Hall, as well as the support of the Aldea de San Nicolás Town Hall.

 

In its ongoing commitment to respecting the environment and local producers, each day there was a picnic and snack lunch with the collaboration of Smurfit Westrock, La Molina Shop, Tirma, Ahembo, Isola, Gofio La Piña, Costa Caleta – Plátanos de Canarias, Mundo del Plátano de Hacienda La ReKompensa, Grupo FSM and Finca La Laja & Bodega Los Berrazales, as well as Madre Vieja Cheeses, Los Castañeros Cheeses and Colmenar La Violeta on the first route.
