This Tuesday, the Gran Canaria Tourism Board will present the main themes of the Fitur 2025 fair in Madrid at the end of January at the Insular Tourism Centre in Playa del Inglés. This figure reflects the importance of national visitors for the economy of Maspalomas. The average expenditure per mainland tourist stood at 1.460,75 euros, which represents an increase of 10% compared to the previous year. This increase suggests a greater purchasing power and willingness to spend of tourists from the mainland, which significantly benefits the tourism industry and the economy of the south of Gran Canaria.
The profile of the peninsular tourist visiting the south of Gran Canaria is diverse, but there are certain common features that stand out. In addition, the predominant income level among these tourists is between 25.000 and 49.999 euros per year, which suggests that they are people with moderate purchasing power who are looking for a good quality-price ratio in their travel destinations.
