The chain's hotels begin to promote the video 'Your gaze, the only trace' among their guests
Twenty employees visit the Nature Reserve to learn about conservation work
The campaign 'Your gaze, the only footprint', promoted by the Cabildo of Gran Canaria to raise awareness about the importance of preserving the Special Nature Reserve of the Dunes of Maspalomas, continues to involve the tourism sector. The Lopesan Group has integrated this initiative into all of the company's hotels in Gran Canaria by showing an explanatory video in the reception areas, rooms and internal communication channels that seeks to encourage respect and care for this space among its guests and staff.
Recently, employees of the Lopesan hotel group received a visit from the Councillor for Environment, Climate, Energy and Knowledge of the Cabildo de Gran Canaria, Raúl García Brink, and toured the space to learn about the reservation prices.
“More than twenty employees of the Corallium Beach hotel by Lopesan have learned first-hand about the natural heritage and the regulations that apply in this area and the work we do to preserve it,” said Raúl García Brink.
For his part, the CEO of Lopesan Hotel Group, Francisco López, said that “this initiative is in line with the biodiversity-friendly programmes in which we carry out our activity, which is why we decided to collaborate with the Cabildo to protect this unique environment such as the Maspalomas Dunes.”
“Shared responsibility between the public and private sectors and citizens is essential to preserve our natural spaces, and the collaboration of hotels and guides is necessary to get the message across to tourists,” said Raúl García Brink.
This awareness campaign trains employees of the main hotel chains, Tourist Information Offices (OIT) in the area and guide companies in order to raise awareness among users about good practices in the Maspalomas Dunes.
