A 20-year-old woman was injured after a collision between her bicycle and a vehicle on the GC-60, near Arteara, in the municipality of San Bartolomé de Tirajana

The incident took place at 10:54 a.m. on January 15, 2025, when the Emergency and Security Coordination Center (CECOES) 1-1-2 of the Government of the Canary Islands received an alert reporting the accident and requesting urgent medical assistance for the cyclist.
A 20-year-old woman, who had moderate multiple injuries, was treated on site and taken in a medicalized ambulance from the Canary Islands Emergency Service (SUC) to the Insular University Hospital of Gran Canaria.
The SUC deployed a medical ambulance to assist the victim, who was stabilised on the spot before being transferred to hospital. The Civil Guard opened proceedings to investigate the causes of the accident and regulated traffic in the area.
CECOES 1-1-2 immediately activated the necessary resources to deal with the emergency, ensuring a rapid response at the scene.
