The works planned by the Department of Parks and Gardens will allow the entertainment offered by the leisure facilities to be increased by 25% for around 97.398 euros
The Department of Parks and Gardens of the San Bartolomé de Tirajana Town Council has begun the renovation of the two children's parks in the historic centre of Tunte, specifically the one in the town and the one in the Las Lagunas recreational area, as well as the Fataga playground. The technical project foresees a duration of two months for the execution of the works.
The City Council put the works out to public tender through the State contracts platform for an initial amount of 114.624 euros, allocating 32.870,28 euros to the Fataga site, and 81.753,92 euros to the two in Tunte. The Department headed by the eighth deputy mayor, Araceli Armas Cruz, and supervised by the councillor Eduardo Armas Herrera, has managed to save almost 17.227 euros in this administrative procedure, as the repair and improvement of the parks has finally been awarded for around 97.398 euros.
“The aim of the City Council with this project, included in the Municipal Plan for the Renovation of Children's Parks, is to completely improve the three children's facilities by changing the surface of their paving and the play elements, in order to increase their leisure offer by 25% compared to the current parks,” said Mayor Marco Aurelio Pérz during his visit to the works.
The improvements to the Fataga children's park are being carried out by Zona de Obra Rosal SL for around 27.611 euros. The proposal includes a new slide, a two-seater inclusive swing with one of them for people with reduced mobility (PRM), a game with two springs, a seesaw, an individual spring and a new fence.
In the parks of Tunte, the works are being carried out by Imagina en Verde Diseño Urbano SL for around 69.787 euros. In the children's area of the town, a two-seater swing, a two-seater seesaw, a multi-game for children between 3 and 14 years old and a four-seater spring will be installed as an inclusive element. The children's entertainment planned for the park in the recreational area of Las Lagunas are a slide, a normal spring game, an inclusive swing and spring, a two-seater seesaw and an element for four players.
The general project for the works in these three children's facilities in the midlands of the municipality has been subsidised with €98.594 by the General Directorate of Agriculture of the Department of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries of the Government of the Canary Islands, in accordance with the participatory local development strategy provided for in the Canary Islands rural development programme Feader.
