A helicopter from the Canary Islands Emergency Service (SUC) evacuated a 28-year-old woman with serious multiple injuries this afternoon after a collision with a protruding wall on the GC-603 road, before the Las Tirajanas viewpoint. The incident occurred at 12:34 p.m.
Another woman, aged 67, suffered minor trauma and was transferred in a basic life support ambulance from the SUC to San Roque Maspalomas University Hospitals.
The Emergency and Security Coordination Centre (CECOES) 1-1-2 of the Government of the Canary Islands immediately activated the SUC, which mobilised a medicalised helicopter, a medicalised ambulance and a basic life support ambulance. In addition, a doctor and a nurse from the Tunte Health Centre provided first aid to the affected person.

Members of the Gran Canaria Emergency Consortium secured the vehicle involved and collaborated with the rescue efforts. The Local Police assisted in the coordination of emergency resources, while the Civil Guard regulated traffic and prepared the corresponding report.
The immediate intervention of the emergency services was key to caring for the victim of this tragic accident in the municipality of San Bartolomé de Tirajana.
