The Intermunicipal Association of the Southeast of Gran Canaria informs that it has decided to extend the deadline for submitting applications within the framework of the call for subsidies for the "Abandoned Greenhouse Cleaning Plan" until January 31, 2025.
Interested parties may submit their applications in accordance with the regulations and requirements established in the call for applications. Those plots of land whose surface area is within the action area (Agüimes, Ingenio and Santa Lucía de Tirajana) may be beneficiaries of the subsidy. Of the total of the 40 minimum hectares estimated for intervention, three lines of subsidy are established, one for each municipality that make up the Mancomunidad del Sureste.
This extension has been approved with the aim of allowing greater participation in this project to clean up and improve the environment in the southern part of the island. This plan is key to the recovery of the areas affected by abandoned greenhouses, whose cleanup benefits both the landscape and the image of the island, especially in the areas close to the airport and main access roads.
The Mancomunidad del Sureste reminds that this plan aims to improve agricultural spaces and adapt the land for the benefit of the population and tourists visiting the island. Applications must be submitted to the General Registry of the Mancomunidad or through the electronic office.
This project is one of the key actions in the sustainability and environmental improvement strategy of the region, reaffirming the commitment of the Commonwealth to the preservation of the natural environment and the improvement of the quality of life of its inhabitants.
