The socio-economic community of Gran Canaria received this Friday the painful news of the death of Doña Josefa Hernández, mother of Domingo Espino, Beloved Son of Gran Canaria, candidate for the Princess of Asturias Award for Concord in 2024 for his work in favour of the integration of migrants and tourism promoter as well as patron of cultural and sporting talent in the Canary Islands.
Mrs. Josefa Hernández passed away unexpectedly when she was receiving good family news. With deep sadness, the Espino family announces the death of a great woman. Josefa Hernández left this world leaving an indelible legacy of love, courage and dedication.
Doña Josefa was an example of strength and unwavering dedication. Her life was marked by hard work and a generous spirit that enlightened all those who were fortunate enough to know her. Always willing to serve and help, her kindness was a constant that enriched the lives of family, friends and neighbors.
A tireless defender of her family, she never hesitated to speak up or fight for those she loved. She was a courageous woman who faced life's challenges with dignity and a heart full of hope.
Her absence leaves a deep void in the hearts of those who loved her, but her memory will live on as a beacon of love and an example of life.
Those who knew her celebrate not only her passing, but the wonderful life she lived, full of love, effort and dedication. May her eternal rest be as full as the kindness she always shared.
With his support, Domingo Espino created Lojman Resorts 25 years ago, which began its activity with the operation of extra-hotel accommodation. Today it operates under the brand Vistaflor Hotels, the Vistaflor Bungalows in Maspalomas, the Vistaflor Cura Marina Hotel and the Puerto Plata Apartments, both in Mogán. Lojman Resorts has specialized in providing accommodation, food, transfer and logistics services for large groups, but it also organizes different attractive events for the people who visit us, among which the following stand out: Maspalomas Cup Tournament; Canary Islands Basketball Championship; Timbachata International Latin Dance Festival; International Camp Rotary Club Maspalomas; or the Vistaflor Golf Tournament, among many others. For his work and dedication to the quality of the tourism sector, also resulting in activities that promote greater diversification of our tourism, he has been declared a Favorite Son of Gran Canaria.
