Present at the event were Carmen Pérez, Councillor for Society and Development of Santa Cruz de Tenerife; Yolanda Moliné, Councillor for Sports of the Cabildo de Tenerife; Javier Bonet, First Deputy Mayor of Palma; Fernando Gómez, General Coordinator of Culture and Sports of Palma; Iñaki Gabarain, Councillor for Sports of Donostia; Natalia Chueca, Mayor of Zaragoza; Carla Campoamor, Councillor for Sports of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria; Carlos Álamo, Councillor for Tourism of the Cabildo de Gran Canaria; Ángel Sabroso, Deputy Minister for Sports of the Government of the Canary Islands; Alberto Guanche, Head of Sponsorships at Binter; and Daniel González, Manager of DG Eventos, to present, from the Binter pavilion, the details of the series for 2025.
With established venues such as Las Palmas de Gran Canaria - which will celebrate its twelfth edition -, the eighth edition in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, the fifth in Palma de Mallorca, the fourth in Zaragoza, and the second in Donostia - San Sebastián, there will be five cities of the Binter NightRunSeries, which brought together more than 18.000 runners in 2024, with the goal for 2025 being to bring together 20.000 runners.
Sustainable, supportive and inclusive
The Binter NightRun Series will be consolidated in 2025 as the largest racing series in Spain, as well as revealing itself as a true athletic celebration based on three cardinal axes: inclusion, sustainability and solidarity.
The green wave will once again be present at each of the venues with its traditional distances and modalities. The Green Mile is one of them, where 100% of the proceeds go to promote aid projects for people who are in a situation of social or economic vulnerability. This 2025, participants can once again obtain the SILVER BIB, which is acquired with a minimum contribution of €5, and/or the GOLD BIB, with a donation of €10.
In addition, the 5k and 10k offer the possibility of experiencing popular routes to delight in the most emblematic places of each of the cities and enjoy their nighttime and festive atmosphere with music, lights and sound.
The Binter NightRun Series organisers are aware of the ecological footprint generated, which is why in 2025 we will continue to avoid the use of plastic packaging, we are betting on 'zero kilometre' products and on a cleaning plan in coordination with public administrations, as well as on the promotion of collective public transport.
In addition, sustainable actions will be carried out prior to the events, in coordination with the City Councils. These initiatives will allow the participants of the Binter NightRun Series not only to cross the finish line, but also to contribute to a positive change in their environment.
It is worth noting that the objective is to achieve parity in the participation of men and women. In addition, it is framed as a festival in which all runners are important, inclusive and without barriers. Therefore, the routes are adapted so that participants can enjoy the experience to the fullest, with free registration for disabled athletes in the 5k and 10k distances.
Registration is now open for the Santa Cruz de Tenerife event, which will take place on April 5, at the following link: https://www.binternightrun.es/tenerife/
