For the ninth consecutive year, 'Freedom LGBT Association' participated in the International Tourism Fair (FITUR), to promote the program of the international event 'Maspalomas Pride by Freedom', which every year brings together more than 300.000 people, in addition to the attraction offered by Maspalomas (Gran Canaria), considered the first LGBTI tourist destination in Europe and one of the most outstanding in the world.

At this edition, a large number of national and international visitors passed through the FITUR stand, interested in learning about the programme and events prepared for the next edition of 'Maspalomas Pride by Freedom', which will be held from 1 to 11 May.
The stand was visited by the Minister for Equality, Ana Redondo; the Mayor of San Bartolomé de Tirajana, Marco Aurelio Pérez, and the singer Soraya, an artist who always supports the visibility of the LGTBIQ+ community, who has confirmed, as every year, her participation in the event.
Fernando Ilarduya, president of the Freedom LGBT Association Maspalomas, explained that the organization is preparing a program full of surprises and novelties, with more than 40 musical, cultural and sporting events, highlighting the multitudinous Cavalcade through Playa del Inglés, which will bring together nearly 100.000 people of different nationalities.
For the first time, the announcement and award ceremony for the winning novel of the 2025 'Diverse Literature Prize', one of the most important in Spain, will be held within the 'Maspalomas Pride by Freedon', which will be the host of this edition.
In the coming months, representatives of the 'Freedom LGBT Association' will continue to promote the 'Maspalomas Pride by Freedom' 2015 programme in different countries, such as Mexico (February 1), Brazil (March 4), Colombia and Sweden.
