The Department of Local Development organizes a business breakfast at the El Tablero Training Center with representatives of nine tourist groups in the municipality
The El Tablero Training Centre has hosted a new meeting between the heads of the Human Resources departments of important tourist companies in the municipality and the students of bar and cafeteria services who are participating in the 'Cócteles' Training in Alternation with Employment Plan (Pfae).
This is a training programme for 15 student-workers that the Department of Local Development, headed by the second deputy mayor, Elena Álamo Vega, launched in mid-2024 with a grant from the Canarian Employment Service and which is now entering its final stretch.
Representatives and managers of the business groups Lopesan, Dunas, Bull, Princess, Meeting Point, HD, Barceló, SeaSide and Be Cordial participated in this second meeting with these students.
The session organised by the Department of Local Development and the management of the Pfae was once again developed as a breakfast service, where students could show the business community their skills and qualifications as professional waiters for specialised bar and cafeteria services in the hospitality sector.
Elena Álamo welcomed the business representatives and thanked them for coming to personally check the educational level of the students, “in a very important task of making their work skills visible for their future insertion in the labour market”.
