A 40-year-old man has been seriously injured after a collision between a car and a scooter in San Bartolomé de Tirajana. The victim suffered head trauma and was taken by medical ambulance to the Insular University Hospital of Gran Canaria.
A 40-year-old man has been seriously injured after a collision between a car and a scooter on Avenida de Gran Canaria in Playa del Inlgés, San Bartolomé de Tirajana. The incident occurred on the night of February 9, when the Emergency and Security Coordination Centre (CECOES) 112 received notice of the accident, immediately mobilizing emergency resources.
The Canary Islands Emergency Service (SUC) sent a medicalised ambulance, a sanitized ambulance and a basic life support ambulance to the scene, along with medical personnel from the Maspalomas Health Centre. After being stabilised on site, the victim, who had a severe head injury, was transferred by medicalised ambulance to the Insular University Hospital of Gran Canaria.
The local police were in charge of preparing the corresponding report to clarify the circumstances of the accident, while the National Police collaborated with the rest of the emergency services in the area. The authorities have urged extreme caution on the road and remind people of the importance of respecting traffic regulations to prevent this type of incident.
