The administrative entity promotes, in collaboration with the city council, an analysis to understand the social and economic impact of the Maspalomas Costa Canaria carnival

You can participate through the online survey https://bit.ly/EstudioCarnavalMaspalomas24 which will assess the effects of the last one held.

The Maspalomas Gran Canaria Consortium, an entity owned by the Cabildo de Gran Canaria and the San Bartolomé de Tirajana City Council, has announced the opening of the Economic Return on Investment (ROI) Study process for the Maspalomas International Carnival, which this year 2025 has the theme of “Mexican Love”, and will be held from March 18 to 30, in the tourist area.

This analysis aims to assess the overall economic impact of the event and to produce a detailed report on the return on investment. It also seeks to encourage citizen participation through the exchange of information and opinions to improve a celebration that has become one of the most important social, cultural and economic events in the municipality and on the island.

The Maspalomas International Carnival is a benchmark in Gran Canaria, attracting thousands of visitors and generating a significant impact in key sectors such as tourism, commerce and hospitality. The importance of the event also lies in its ability to stimulate the local economy and generate temporary employment, contributing to the projection of Maspalomas as a first-class tourist destination, highlighting values such as citizen security, accessibility, social inclusion and sustainability. This data will also be useful for analysing improvements in infrastructure and access.

Likewise, residents, tourists, merchants and hoteliers will be able to complete the survey through the web (https://bit.ly/EstudioCarnavalMaspalomas24), in order to gather the different views on the benefits and challenges of organizing the Maspalomas International Carnival.

The final report of this study will be presented to local authorities and citizens in order to establish strategies for continuous improvement and ensure that each edition of the carnival contributes to the sustainable and economic development of the municipality.
